ALCON receives the Board of Seven Energy to UQUO Gas Plant

ALCON Management received on Sept. 12th 2012 the Seven Energy Board along with representatives of Major Banks who put together the project finance package. An accurate project presentation was followed by site inspection.

All Board members and Bank reps expressed great satisfaction for the quality and high level of professionalism shown by ALCON whilst executing the project. A special recognition was given to ALCON for the impeccable safety performance shown during the project execution that has led to the current 2(two) million hours without LTI.

ALCON Successful Testrun of Early Gas Flare Down

CONGRATULATIONS to NAOC & ALCON Project Teams for the completion of Early Gas Systems Test Run that was achieved
on August 30th at 15:30hrs.

Subsequently, the Final Flare down for Idu Flowstation was achieved on October 1st, 2012.

ALCON awarded Monorail Project in Port Harcourt

ALCON Nigeria Limited has just been awarded a Contract from the Ministry Of Transport (Rivers State Government) and Rivers Monorail Company (RMC) for the Installation of Free Issue Monorail Track work and Associated Items (Phase 1A) Project.

The scope of works for this contract includes the collection, assembly, transport and installation of the monorail guide way (also called track beams) for the Phase 1A scope of 2.6 kms single track that will cover the track between the Port Harcourt Depot-Sharks Park and UTC Junction.

The project kick off meeting was held in Arcuss Gibb’s Office (Consultant) in Port Harcourt on August 9, 2012 and was attended by the Rivers Monorail Company (RMC) Technical Director, Arcuss Gibb Representatives and ALCON’s Management Team.

ALCON awarded NLNG-BONNY Project

ALCON Nigeria Limited has just been awarded a Contract from Nigeria LNG Limited for the Relocation of U-3700 Propane and Butane Rundown Air Coolers to U-3300.

The contract is Procurement and Construction which includes Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation works.

This project has a total duration of 11 months and is the first project of ALCON with NLNG in Bonny Island since 2004 where Alcon executed the SPDC project for BTIP.

The project kick off meeting was done in NLNG Bonny on June 12-14, 2012 and was attended by NLNG Stakeholders and Project Team and Alcon Project Management Team.
