Third Party Channel Agreement with ABB Nigeria

ABB in Nigeria Signs Partnership Agreement with Alcon as an Authorized Low Voltage Panel Builders

On the 26th of March 2014, ABB in Nigeria signed an authorized Low Voltage Panel Builder agreement with Alcon. Alcon has been in the industry for more than thirty years, with a reputable track record in the construction industry; offering engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning services that are competent with ABB’s local EPC contractor partner requirements.

One of ABB strategies is to develop a regional based customer oriented sales support, service and engineering network of third party channel partners for ABB in Nigeria range of standard engineering products, and to empower the local market in fulfilling local content laws, which will help the promotion of ABB’s capabilities and experience in Nigeria.

Alcon will assemble the ABB system at its facility in the Trans Amadi Industrial area of Port Harcourt, Rivers state Nigeria with a total investment of 25 MUSD. The product assembly is supported by ABB corporate standard guidelines and other international standards such as IEC and ISO, together with ABB’s specialized and dedicated team of experts who will be providing applications and technical solution support in the different market segments.

The attendance of this ground breaking occasion saw, Naji Jreijiri, Country Manager Egypt, Near East & Central Africa, Nitin Desai, ABBNG Limited Country Manager, Mike Mustapha, the regional Divisional Manager, Fillipo Lussana, Low Voltage Division Manager, Egypt, Near East and Central Africa, Ahmed Gamal, ABB Nigeria Local sales Manager for the Low Voltage Division and From Alcon Engineering Stefano Piotti, Managing Director, Alcon Engineering Limited and Mr. Uba Obasi a Director with Alcon

This partnership initiative will be extended to other local organizations in ABB’s continuous bid to obey the local content laws and empower the local market, which will not be limited to Low voltage products but will also include the Medium Voltage product range.

ABB’s specialized and dedicated team of experts will be supporting Alcon to provide applications supports and technical solutions in different segments of the market.

Cooperation agreement with JEPCC1

Alcon signed a cooperation agreement with Jiangsu Province First Electric Power Construction Company of China Energy Engineering Group Co. 

A collaboration agreement was signed with Jiangsu Province First Electric Power Construction Company of China Energy Engineering Group Co., one of the biggest power plant constructors in China.
China Energy Engineering Group has a yearly turnover in excess of 22 billion dollars (2012), 160,000 employees and is operating in 80 countries and regions of the world.
Our Companies intend to utilize the respective resources to jointly undertake both new EPC power projects and rehabilitation of existing power plants.
Some of the most important projects executed by the Company include:

  • 2x1000 MW Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant in Lianyungang

  • 2×1000MW coal-fired ultra-supercritical units in China Guodian Taizhou Power Plant
  • 3×650MW project of China Resources Changshu No. 2 Power Plant
